| Alyssa Mandel began her artistic career as a bench goldsmith in the late 1980s, and later spent time as a hat designer for a costume company. In addition, she is also an instructor of art history at the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida, and a belly dance teacher as well. All these threads, combined with her passionate commitment to making beautiful things, come together in The Delicate Veil. “I love a challenge,” she says, and she means it. The bonus is that Alyssa is also a really great cook. “Come have tea.
